Make It So Foundation Scholarship

The Make It So Foundation scholarship was established in 1999 by donors who wish to remain anonymous. It is exclusively for Native American students returning to study for whom funding will bridge a financial gap that may otherwise prevent the student from continuing his or her studies.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Native American student, undergraduate or graduate.
  • Returning student who successfully completed at least one semester of post-secondary education, has had his or her education interrupted with at least a one year gap in studies and has returned or is returning to studies.
  • Financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (
  • Full-time student at Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University or the University of Arizona.

Requirements in Addition to the General Application Questions:
Applications must respond to a supplemental essay question regarding their Native American heritage and educational goals.

Award Details:

  • A one time award of $1,500 distributed in two equal payments before the start of each semester.
  • A student may apply and be considered year after year, but there is no automatic renewal of the scholarship for previously awarded students.
