Mickey Witkoff Native American Art Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria:

  • High school senior or current college undergraduate student who graduated from high school in Northern Arizona (Coconino, Navajo, Mohave, Yavapai and Apache Counties).
  • Student can attend any U.S. college or university.
  • Native American ethnicity.
  • Cumulative 2.0 GPA or higher.
  • Commitment and demonstrated excellence in art.
  • Essay submission and letter of recommendation.
  • Submission of 2 (minimum) pictures of artwork.

Award Details:

  • Witkoff Scholarships range from $500 – $2,000.
  • Awards will be distributed directly to the schools of the winning candidates
    Funding may be used for the following purposes:
    – Tuition for art workshops
    – College level art classes
    – Art supplies as needed for concurrent instructions (receipts must be presented)

  2. Provide a portfolio of your original work (no less than 2 images) that demonstrates your skill as an artist. Portfolios may be in the form of prints, jpg images on a CD, or a reference to a web storage site, or a combination of these media.
  3. Describe your excellence in and commitment to art and how studying art has impacted or changed your life. (500 word maximum)
