Helios Ready Now Yuma Scholars

Helios Ready Now Yuma Scholars program supports Yuma high school seniors with financial need attending an accredited post-secondary institution and pursuing any field of study. Students must be enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university and pursuing a 4-year degree. This scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years if students are in good standing and maintain the required GPA.

Eligibility Criteria

  • High school senior at a Yuma Union High School District school (Cibola, Gila Ridge, Kofa, San Luis, Vista, or Yuma).
  • Financial need as demonstrated by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • DACA students are eligible to apply.
  • Attending any accredited post-secondary institution and pursuing a 4-year degree in any field of study.
  • Full time (minimum 12 credit hours per semester).
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA.

Renewable up to 3 additional years (4 years total)

  • Must remain in good standing at the college or university of enrollment and have maintained a minimum 3.0 GPA. Must submit a copy of college transcript for most recent academic year.
  • Student must complete 30 hours of community service each academic year at a recognized nonprofit (501c3) organization. Must submit a letter from non-profit organization(s) confirming 30 hours of unpaid community service. Service activities that do not qualify include monetary donations, service for membership clubs or organizations, political campaigning, and religious instruction.
